Yummy steak crockpot recipe
Ingredients needed:
* 1 1/2 lb round steak, cut 3/4 inch thick
* 1/4 cup of flour
* 1/2 teaspoon of salt
* 1/4 teaspoon of pepper
* 1/4 teaspoon of paprika
* 2 onions, sliced
* 4-oz can of sliced mushrooms, drained
* 1/2 cup of beef broth
* 2 teaspoons of Worcestershire sauce
* 2 tablespoons of flour
* 3 tablespoons of water
Preparation needed:
* Mix together flour, salt, pepper and paprika
* Cut steak into 5 to 6 pieces. Dredge steak pieces in seasoned flour until lightly coated
* Layer half of onions, half of steak, and half of mushrooms into crockpot. Repeat
* Combine beef broth and Worcestershire sauce. Pour over mixture in crockpot
* Cover. Cook on low 8 to 10 hours.
* Remove steak to serving platter and keep warm. Mix together the flour and water. Stir into drippings and cook on high until thickened (approximately 10 minutes). Pour over steak and serve

Since I probably use my crockpot more than I use my oven, I thought a blog for tasty and easy crockpot recipes would be great. I simply love my crockpot and am known as the queen of the crockpot. When you work 40 hours a week and have children with a lot of after school activities, the crockpot really simplifies life. So much healthier than fast food too :-).
