Manhattan clam chowder crockpot recipe



Ingredients needed:

* 1/4 lb salt pork, or bacon, diced and fried
* 1 large onion, chopped
* 2 carrots, thinly sliced
* 3 ribs of celery, sliced
* 1 tablespoon of dried parsley flakes
* 1 can of tomatoes (12 oz)
* 1/2 teaspoon of salt
* 3 cans of clams with liquid (8 oz cans)
* 2 whold peppercorns
* 1 bay leaf
* 1 1/2 teaspoon of dried crushed thyme
* 3 medium potatoes, cubed

Preparation steps:

* Combine all ingredients in crockpot
* Cover and cook on low for 8 to 9 hours
