Italian Bistro Hot Beef Sandwich Crockpot Recipe
Ingredients needed:
* 2 medium onions, sliced
* 1 beef rump roast (3 lb.)
* 2 tablespoons of balsamic vinegar
* 1 tablespoon of Italian seasoning
* 1 teaspoon of black pepper
* 1/2 teaspoon of salt
* 1/4 teaspoon of ground red pepper (cayenne)
* 1 cup of reduced-sodium beef broth
* 8 French rolls or hoagie buns, split, toasted
Preparation steps:
* Spray crockpot with cooking spray.
* Place onions into crockpot. Place beef on onions. Brush beef with vinegar, turning to coat evenly.
* Sprinkle with seasonings. Pour broth around beef.
* Cover and cook on low for 8 hours.
* Remove beef from crockpot to cutting board. Cover with foil; let stand for 10 minutes. Meanwhile, stain onions from cooking juices; place in serving dish. Ladle cooking juices into 8 small cups. Slice beef; serve on rolls. Serve each sandwich with onions and cups of juices for dipping.
