Irish Pub Beef Crockpot Recipe
Ingredients needed:
* 5 medium carrots cut into 2 inch pieces
* 1 3-pound beef brisket, trimmed
* 1 1/2 teaspoons of salt
* 2 cups of beer
* 3 tablespoons of mixed pickling spice
* 1 tablespoon of prepared horseradish
* 1 tablespoon of chopped garlic
* 2 teaspoons of salt
* 8 small potatoes, unpeeled
* 1 small green cabbage, cored and cut into 8 wedges
* Stone-ground mustard
* Horseradish
Preparation steps:
* Place carrots into crockpot. Rub brisket with salt. Place brisket on top of carrots.
* In a medium bowl, stir together beer, pickling spice, horseradish, garlic, and salt.
* Pour over brisket.
* Place potatoes around brisket and place the cabbage on top, pressing down firmly.
* Cover and cook on low for 8 hours or on high for 4 hours.
* Serve brisket with stone-ground mustard and horseradish.
