Lemon Dilled Parsnips and Turnips Crockpot Recipe



Ingredients needed:

* 2 cups of chicken broth
* 1/4 cup of chopped green onions
* 4 tablespoons of lemon juice
* 4 tablespoons of dried dill
* 1 teaspoon of minced garlic
* 4 turnips, peeled and cut into 1/2-inch pieces
* 3 parsnips, peeled and cut into 1/2-inch pieces
* 4 tablespoons of cornstarch
* 1/4 cup of cold water

Preparation steps:

* Combine broth, green onions, lemon juice, dill and garlic into crockpot.
* Add turnips and parsnips; stir well to combine. Cover and cook on low for 3 1/2 hours or until vegetables are tender.
* Turn crockpot to high. Dissolve cornstarch in water. Add to crockpot; stir well to combine. Cook on high for 15 minutes longer or until thickened.
