Chicken A La King Crockpot Recipe
Ingredients needed:
* 1 can of cream of chicken soup
* 3 tablespoons of all-purpose flour
* 1/4 teaspoon of pepper
* 1 lb of boneless skinless chicken breasts, cut into cubes
* 1 rib of celery, chopped
* 1/2 cup of chopped green pepper
* 1/4 cup of chopped onion
* 1 package of frozen peas, thawed
* 2 tablespoons of diced pimientos, drained
* Hot cooked rice
Preparation steps:
* In crockpot, combine soup, flour, pepper and cayenne until smooth.
* Stir in chicken, celery, green pepper and onion.
* Cover and cook on low for 7 to 8 hours.
* Stir in peas and pimientos.
* Cook 30 minutes longer.
* Serve with rice.

Could I cook this on high for 4 to 5 hours?
ReplyDeleteHi Crystal, Yes. I would do 4 hours though. If a crockpot recipe states the cooking time on the low heat setting, reduce the time in half if you want to do the high setting. For this one, I would do 4, no longer than 4 1/2.
