Chicken Parmesan with Penne Pasta Crockpot Recipe

Ingredients needed:

* 1 egg
* 1/3 cup of Progresso plain bread crumbs
* 1/3 cup of shredded Parmesan cheese
* 1/2 teaspoon of Italian seasoning
* 1/4 teaspoon of salt
* 1/4 teaspoon of pepper
* 4 boneless skinless chicken breasts
* 1 jar of tomato pasta sauce (26 to 28 ounce)
* 1/2 cup of shredded Italian cheese blend
* 2 2/3 cups of uncooked penne pasta (8 oz.)

Preparation steps:

* Spray crockpot with cooking spray. In a small shallow bowl, beat egg until foamy. In separate shallow bowl, mix bread crumbs, Parmesan cheese, Italian seasoning, salt and pepper.
* Dip chicken in egg, then coat evenly with bread crumb mixture; place into crockpot. Spread pasta sauce evenly over the chicken.
* Cover and cook on low for 5 1/2 hours.
* Sprinkle Italian cheese blend over top. Cover; cook on low for 10 minutes longer. Meanwhile, cook and drain pasta as directed on the package.
* Serve chicken with pasta.
