Swiss Cheese Scalloped Potatoes Crockpot Recipe

Ingredients needed:

* 2 pounds of baking potatoes, peeled and thinly sliced
* 1/2 cup finely chopped yellow onion
* 1/4 teaspoon of salt
* 1/4 teaspoon of ground nutmeg
* 2 tablespoons butter, cut into small pieces
* 1/2 cup of milk
* 2 tablespoons of all-purpose flour
* 3 ounces Swiss cheese slices, torn into small pieces
* 1/4 cup finely chopped green onions, optional

Preparation steps:

* Layer half of the potatoes, 1/4 cup onion, 1/8 teaspoon salt, 1/8 teaspoon nutmeg and 1 tablespoon of butter into crockpot. Repeat layers.
* Cover and cook on low for 7 hours or on high for 3 1/2 hours.
* Remove potatoes with slotted spoon to serving dish and cover with foil to keep warm.
* Blend milk and flour in small bowl until smooth. Stir mixture into cooking liquid. Add cheese; stir to combine. Turn crockpot to high. Cover and cook on high for 10 minutes or until slightly thickened. Stir. Pour cheese mixture over potatoes and serve. Garnish with chopped green onions.
