Chicken Marsala Wings Crockpot Recipe

Chicken Marsala Wings Crockpot Recipe

Ingredients needed:

* 1 can of diced tomatoes and green chiles
* 1 can of tomato sauce
* 1 cup of coconut milk
* 1 small jalapeno, seeded and finely chopped
* 3 teaspoons of garam masala
* 2 teaspoons of chopped garlic
* 2 teaspoons of ginger spice blend
* 1/4 cup of butter
* 1/4 teaspoon of kosher salt
* 2 1/2 pounds of chicken wings, tips removed
* 1/3 cup of plain yogurt
* 3/4 cup of cashews, chopped
* Canola oil cooking spray

Preparation steps:

* Coat crockpot with cooking spray; set aside.
* In a large bowl, stir together tomatoes, tomato sauce, coconut milk, jalapeno, 2 teaspoons of the garam marsala, the garlic, and ginger until combined. Pour into crockpot. Add butter.
* Cover and cook on low for 2 hours.
* About 15 minutes before the sauce is done, preheat broiler. Line a baking sheet with aluminum foil; set aside. In a small bowl, combine the remaining garam masala and the salt. Sprinkle wings with spice mixture. Place chicken wings on baking sheet. Broil for about 10 minutes or until skin is tender and begins to crisp. Turn once in the middle.
* Stir sauce in crockpot and add wings. Stir gently to coat wings with sauce. Cover and cook on high for 2 1/2 hours.
* Transfer wings to a serving platter. Skim off any fat from the top of the sauce; stir in yogurt until smooth. Spoon sauce over wings; sprinkle with chopped cashews.
* Serve and enjoy.
