New England Clam Chowder Crockpot Recipe



Ingredients needed:

* 6 slices of bacon, diced
* 2 onions, chopped
* 5 cans of clams, drained and liquid reserved
* 6 medium red potatoes, cubed
* 2 tablespoons of minced garlic
* 1 teaspoon of black pepper
* 2 cans of evaporated milk
* Salt

Preparation steps:

* Cook and stir bacon and onion in medium sized skillet until onions are tender. Place into crockpot.
* Add enough water to reserved clam liquid to make 3 cups. Pour into crockpot. Add potatoes, garlic and pepper. Cover and cook on low for 6 hours or high for 3 hours.
* Stir in reserved clams and milk. Cover and cook on low for an additional hour.
