Braised Sea Bass with Vegetables Crockpot Recipe
Ingredients needed:
* 2 tablespoons of butter or olive oil
* 2 bulbs fennel, thinly sliced
* 3 large carrots, julienned
* 3 large leeks, cleaned and thinly sliced
* Salt and black pepper
* 6 fillets sea bass or other firm-fleshed white fish (2 to 3 lbs.)
Preparation steps:
* Melt butter in large skillet over medium heat. Add fennel, carrots and leeks; cook and stir until beginning to soften and lightly brown. Season with salt and pepper. Arrange half of vegetables in bottom of crockpot.
* Season bass with salt and pepper; place on top of vegetables in crockpot. Top with remaining vegetables.
* Cover and cook on low for 2 1/2 hours or on high for 1 1/2 hours or until fish is cooked through.
